How do I post a club ride with livedot in ChatGPT or Claude?

Updated

In ChatGPT or Claude with livedot, signed in with your Windline account, attach the route and say “Post Saturday’s coffee ride on our club page, every week at 7:00.” livedot makes a draft group ride on the club or organiser page you run. Publish it when you’re ready, and your riders see it on the page.

Before you start

  • livedot in ChatGPT or Claude: search for livedot, or add it at https://livedot.me/mcp.
  • Your Windline account, connected. See connecting your Windline account.
  • A club or organiser page you run, as one of its admins. See club and organiser pages.
  • The route: a GPX file, or a Ride with GPS link (not Strava).

Post it

  1. Attach the route and say what it is, for example: “Post our Saturday coffee ride on the club page, every Saturday at 7:00, starting 24 October.”
  2. livedot checks the details with you: the page, the name, the day and time, and once or every week.
  3. Say yes. livedot posts a draft group ride on your page and shows its card: Group ride, the route, the distance and climbing, “Every week from …” for a weekly ride, and Open in Windline.
  4. When you’re ready, ask livedot to publish it, with an address such as saturday-coffee-ride. It asks you to confirm, then the ride is public at ride.windline.tech/your-address and on your club’s page.

Once or every week

  • Once: give the date and the start time.
  • Every week: give the days and the time, such as “every Tuesday and Thursday at 5:30”, and the first date. Riders can then say they’re riding once or every week.

Times are in the route’s own time zone, worked out from where it starts.

Always for the group

A club ride is always shared: it’s for your club, and it goes on the club’s page once published. If you want a ride just for yourself, say so, and livedot makes a private ride instead, on no page. If you run a page and don’t say who a ride is for, livedot asks you first. See private ride or club ride.

Good to know

  • Only pages you run. livedot can post only where you’re an admin. Anywhere else it says “You don’t run the page”.
  • Change it later: the name, the description or the start time, from the chat or the dashboard. A ride that’s been ridden stays as it was.
  • Nothing is public until you publish. A draft is only on your dashboard.
