How do I set up an event?

Sign in at app.windline.tech, choose New event, pick a multi-day tour, a race or event, or a regular or group ride, and give it a name and dates. Add your GPX files, check the start times, then Publish and share the link.
1. Create the event
- Sign in at app.windline.tech. New here? See how to sign in.
- Choose New event.
- Pick what you’re setting up: Regular / group ride, Race or event, or Multi-day tour. Not sure? See which type to choose.
- Give it a name. For a tour or race, set the dates it Starts and Ends. For a regular ride, pick the days it Rides on and the Start time.
- Choose Create tour, Create race or Create ride.
2. Add the routes
Drop your GPX files onto the page, or choose them. A tour or race can take many files at once: each becomes a day or stage on the next free date. Windline fills in the towns and the climbing. See adding GPX files.
When the first route goes in, Windline sets the event’s time zone from where it starts.
3. Check times, speed and stops
Every new day starts at 06:00 at 25 km/h (15.5 mph) with 1 h 45 of stops, unless you change the defaults. Open a day to change its start time, riding speed and stop time. See start times, speed and stops.
The dashboard shows a live Good, Fair or Tough rating for each day inside the forecast window, the same one riders will see.
4. Publish and share
Choose Publish, pick the address, for example tour.windline.tech/pacific-coast, and publish. The share window gives you Copy and Share on WhatsApp. See publishing and sharing.
Until you publish, the event is a private draft.
