How do I add tour notes with livedot in ChatGPT or Claude?
Updated
In ChatGPT or Claude with livedot, signed in with your Windline account, paste or attach your notes for riders and say which tour they’re for. livedot shows you the notes, and once you say yes it saves them on the tour, up to 10,000 characters. Add to them later, or replace them, the same way.
Add them
- In ChatGPT or Claude, with livedot added and your Windline account connected (see connecting your Windline account), paste your notes or attach the document they’re in.
- Say which tour they’re for: “Put these on the Garden Route tour as its tour notes.”
- livedot shows you the notes as they’ll be saved. Check them, ask for changes, then say yes.
- They’re saved on the tour. If it’s published, riders see them on its page straight away.
Making a new tour at the same time? Attach the notes with the GPX files and they go on with it. See creating a tour from GPX files.
Replace or add to them
- Replace: the new notes take the place of the old ones. This is what happens unless you say otherwise.
- Add to them: say “add this to the tour notes” and livedot puts it after what’s there.
- Take them down: ask livedot to clear the tour notes.
Let the assistant help you write
The assistant can tidy your notes before they’re saved: turn a long message into headings such as “What to pack”, “Meeting points” and “Each day”, or a kit list into bullets. You see the result before anything is saved, and only what you approve goes on the tour.
Tour notes use the same formatting as the dashboard: headings, bullets, numbered lists, bold and links. See adding tour notes.
Good to know
- Tours only. Races, regular rides and private rides don’t have tour notes.
- Up to 10,000 characters, as on the dashboard.
- Not on a finished tour. Once a tour is over, it stays as it was.
- Notes are public, like the rest of your tour page. Leave out door codes and personal numbers.
- Riders can ask livedot about your notes too. See how tour notes work with livedot.
