Your rides and your pages

Updated

Rides is your own space in the dashboard: every ride, tour and race you made for yourself, and every club ride you’re riding. Run a club, a coaching page or an organiser page? Each has its own section in the menu, Clubs, Coaching and Organising, with its events, Add and its members. Every event lives in one place: your Rides, or one page.

Rides: your own space

Rides, the first entry in the dashboard at app.windline.tech, holds what’s yours to ride:

  • The rides, tours and races you made for yourself, from New ride. Private ones are under My Rides; ones you share with a group under Shared.
  • Every club ride you’re riding, under I’m riding, from any club or group you’re in, with the club’s name. Riding one doesn’t make it yours: its page’s managers still look after it.

A finished tour or one-off ride moves to Past at the bottom.

Clubs, Coaching and Organising: the pages you run

If you run a page on Windline, the menu shows it under its kind:

  • Clubs: each club page you run. Clubs you’re only a member of are on the Clubs screen.
  • Coaching: each coaching page you run.
  • Organising: each organiser page you run.

A section shows only when you have a page of that kind. You can have all three, and several of each.

Open a page and you’re in its space: its events (drafts too), the Add button (New ride on a club, New group session on a coaching page, New event on an organiser’s), who’s riding, Get found on livedot, and its members. The iPhone and Android apps show the same sections.

One home for each event

Every event lives in exactly one place: your Rides, or one page. There are no shared or joint events.

  • Made inside a page, it belongs to that page. Members see it there and tap I’m riding, and supporters see it on livedot.me/.
  • Made from Rides → New ride, it’s yours, and on no page.
  • To change where it lives, choose ••• on the event, then Move to…. See moving an event to a page.

The words each page uses

  • Coaching pages say group and session: Join the group, Leave the group, Next session, Tell me when they add a session and New group session.
  • Clubs say club and ride: Join the club, Leave the club, Next ride, Tell me when the club adds a ride.
  • Organisers say event or race.
