How do I set start times, riding speed and stops?

Updated

Open a day or stage in the dashboard to set its start time, riding speed (8 to 45 km/h, or 5 to 28 mph) and total stop time (0 to 600 minutes). Windline shows the estimated finish as you change them. New days use the defaults in Settings.

Change one day

  1. Open the event in the dashboard and tap the day or stage.
  2. Under When, set the Start time.
  3. Under Pace, set the Riding speed: your average while moving, from 8 to 45 km/h (5 to 28 mph). On a race it’s called Starting speed, because riders can change it.
  4. Set the Stop time: all stops added up, from 0 to 600 minutes. Use the quick buttons for None, 45 min, 1 h 45 or 2 h 30.
  5. Check the estimate, for example “Finishes about 12:03 · 6 h 03 on the road”, and save.

The rating and timing update straight away, for you and for riders.

Defaults for new days

In Settings (the gear icon), Defaults for new days sets the start time, speed and stops that new days begin with. Out of the box that’s 06:00, 25 km/h (15.5 mph) and 1 h 45 of stops. Changing the defaults doesn’t change days you’ve already added.

Regular rides

A regular ride has one start time for every ride day. Choose Edit ride to change it, along with the speed and stops (quick buttons for None, 15, 30 or 45 min).

Why stops matter

Stops move every later stretch to a later hour, and the wind often changes through the day. An hour’s lunch stop can mean meeting the afternoon sea breeze instead of the morning calm.
