Which time zone are the times in?

Updated

Every time on an event is shown in the event’s own time zone, which Windline sets from where the first route starts. A rider in another country sees local times for the ride, not their phone’s time.

For riders

Start times, arrival times, charts and “Today” all follow the event’s time zone, on a 24-hour clock. If you’re travelling to a ride abroad, the times are already local to the ride.

For organisers

  • When you create an event, the time zone starts as your computer’s.
  • When you add the first route, Windline sets the time zone from where that route starts and tells you, for example “Time zone set to Pacific Time from where it starts.”
  • You can change it in Settings (the gear icon). For tours and races, each day keeps its start time on the clock: 06:00 stays 06:00. For a regular ride, the ride starts at its set time in the new zone.

Daylight saving

Windline uses the zone’s own rules, so a ride after the clocks change still starts at the time you set.
