How does my club’s race map work?
Updated
When your club adds a race, members tap I’m riding and each goes live from their own phone. On race day, the club shows Who’s where: a live map of the club’s riders, with a list by distance, and All riders for everyone Findable on the race. A rider shows if they’re Findable or share with My club.
The club adds the race
A club manager adds the race in the club dashboard on the web, with its route, date and start time. It shows on the club like any other club ride.
Say you’re riding
- Tap I’m riding on the race. See saying you’re riding.
- In the app, tap Your goal and live tracking under the race, on the club: your link, Findable by anyone, who can see you and, on a one-day race, your goal time. Tap Save.
The club owns the race. Your dot, your goal and who sees you are your own.
On race day
On the race, on the club in the app:
- Go live starts your own live tracking. See going live on a race.
- Who’s where opens the club’s race map.
Who’s where
- The map: the club’s riders who are riding and live, each with their own dot. It refreshes every 10 seconds.
- The list: You follow first, then Furthest along. Tap a rider to open them, with their speed, finish estimate and goal, or tap Follow.
- All riders: switch to the race’s own live map, with everyone on the race who’s Findable, and Find a rider by name.
- Finishers stay on the map for 6 hours. The race stays on the club all day. The day after, your own result and taps are under Past on your Events screen.
On the web, the club’s race map is at windline.tech/live/club/ and the club’s name. Anyone who opens it sees the riders who are Findable; members of the club who sign in on the page also see the riders who share with the club.
Who’s on it
Club members who tapped I’m riding, went live, and either:
- switched on Findable by anyone, or
- left My club’s members ticked under Who can see you (then only the club’s members see you there).
Untick My club’s members and switch off Findable, and you’re not on the club’s map: only people you approved or sent your link to follow you, while People I approve is on. See who can see you.
Nobody yet? “Nobody from the club is on the map yet.” Riders appear once they go live.
I’m out
Can’t ride after all? Tap Riding on the race to come off the list. If you’re live on it, your live tracking for the race stops too.
