How do clubs work in the Android app?

Sign in, then tap the people button on the Events screen to see your clubs, find one and join it. A club’s link opens it in the app too. On a club you’ll see Happening now while a ride is live tracked, the next rides and who’s riding. Tap I’m riding to put a ride in your Riding list, with its alert the evening before.
Your clubs
Clubs need a free account. Once you’re signed in, tap the people button at the top of the Events screen. Clubs lists your clubs, with your requests that are waiting for approval and the clubs you manage.
- Find a club: search by name.
- Can’t find yours? Tap Add your club to ask Windline to add it. It’s free.
Not in a club yet? The screen says You’re not in a club yet, with Find a club and Ask Windline to add your club.
A club’s link, such as windline.tech/c/your-club, opens the club in the app.
Join
Open the club and tap Join the club. Some clubs approve members first: tap Ask to join. It says Request sent (with Cancel request), and the app tells you when you’re in.
Not signed in? The club shows Sign in to join. Sign in from Settings → Sign in or create an account, then open the club again. See signing in.
On a club
- Happening now, at the top, while one of the club’s rides is being live tracked: the ride, how far they’ve got and the speed. Tap Follow live, with the wind and weather where they are to follow on the map. It shows only while positions are actually coming in. See following live in the app.
- The club: its logo, its members, and links to its Club page and View on Strava.
- Next rides, with who’s riding: for example “12 riding · You, Thandi and 10 others”.
- Tell me when the club adds a ride: a notification for each new ride. It’s off unless you turn it on.
The club refreshes by itself every minute while it’s open.
Say you’re riding
Tap I’m riding on a ride. It goes into your Riding list on the Events screen, with its 6 pm alert the evening before, and the club sees you’re coming. For a weekly ride, tick Every week to ride them all.
A one-off ride leaves Riding the night after it.
Leave
Next to Member, tap Leave the club, then Leave the club again to confirm. Its rides leave your Riding list, and you can join again any time.
Running a club
Manage the club opens the club dashboard, where you approve members and add rides. See running your club’s members.
