What’s in the Android app’s Settings?
Updated
Tap the gear on the Events screen. Settings has your account (or Sign in or create an account), units, appearance, alerts (On, Not set up or Off in phone settings), connected apps, Strava, the Windline 1000, and help. Signed in, your units and appearance are saved to your account, so the website matches.
Tap the gear at the top of the Events screen. From the top:
- Account: your name, photo and email. Tap it to manage your account. Not signed in, it says Your free Windline account, with Sign in or create an account. See signing in.
- Units: Distance and speed (km · km/h, or miles · mph), Temperature (°C or °F) and Rain (mm or inches). One setting for every event, wherever it is. See miles, mph and °F.
- Appearance: System (follows your phone), Light or Dark. Maps stay light either way. See light and dark mode.
- Alerts: whether the evening-before alerts are On, Not set up (the app hasn’t asked yet) or Off in phone settings, with Turn on in phone settings when they’re off. Switch them for each event on its page.
- Connected apps (signed in): Ride with GPS and Strava, for bringing routes into your events, with Disconnect.
- Strava: add the wind to every ride you upload. It shows when there’s room. See Strava and Ride with GPS in the app.
- The Windline 1000: ride 1,000 km between 16 and 31 December. See the Windline 1000 in the app.
- Help and feedback: See how Windline works (the welcome and demo tour again), Add your club to Windline, Help centre (this site), Contact us and Tell a riding friend.
- On the web: the Organiser dashboard, Club or organiser page and windline.tech.
- Legal: the Privacy Policy and Weather data sources.
At the bottom are the Apple Weather credit, the map and weather-record credits, and the app’s version number.
Signed in, your units and appearance are saved to your account, so the website and your other phones show the same.
