How do I add routes in the Android app?

From your phone

1. In the event’s editor, tap Upload GPX files (on an empty event), the Add GPX files box under the days, or + then Add GPX files.
2. Pick one or more .gpx files from Downloads, Files or Google Drive.

Each file becomes a day. On a tour they go in route order: each day starts where the last one finished. On a race, they go onto the next free dates in the order you add them.

Windline fills in the towns and the climbing for you, from the file or the map.

A regular or group ride has one route: tap Upload the GPX route, or Replace GPX in Edit ride.

From another app

In WhatsApp, Gmail or Files, open the GPX file with Windline, or share it to Windline. Add to an event opens: pick the event it goes into, or tap Set up a new event and the route goes straight into it. You need to be signed in.

From Ride with GPS or Strava

Under the upload button, or bring them in from shows the Ride with GPS and Connect with Strava buttons. Connect once: you sign in to the service and come back to Windline, and your routes open by themselves. Then:

• Search your routes.
• Collections · a whole tour at once (Ride with GPS): tap one, then Add, for one route per day in route order.
• Routes · tick each day’s route, then tap Add (for example Add 3 days).

Once connected, the button shows a tick and opens your routes straight away.

You can also paste a Ride with GPS link into the box below the buttons: a route, or a collection with every day.

For Strava, tick private routes when Strava asks, so Windline can see your routes. Until Strava approves Windline for everyone, it allows a limited number of people. If it’s full, the app says so: use Ride with GPS or upload the GPX. See bringing routes in.

To see or remove these connections, open Settings → Connected apps.
