How do I switch to miles, mph and °F?
Updated
Set it once in Units: Settings in the iPhone app, or Account on the website. Choose km or miles (with km/h or mph), °C or °F, and mm or inches of rain. Signed in, the two stay in step.
Where to set it
- iPhone app: Settings → Units.
- Website: sign in at app.windline.tech, open Account and use Units.
There are three choices:
- Distance and speed: km and km/h, or miles and mph. Climbing follows it, in metres or feet.
- Temperature: °C or °F.
- Rain: mm or inches.
The same everywhere
Units are yours, not the event’s. An American riding a tour in South Africa still sees mph and °F.
When you’re signed in, your choice is saved to your account, so changing it on the website changes it in the app, and the other way round.
Before you choose
Windline starts from your phone’s or computer’s region: miles, mph and °F in the United States, miles with °C in the UK, and km and °C almost everywhere else.
Riders opening a link
Event pages don’t need an account, so they follow the region set on the rider’s own phone. A rider with a US phone sees mph and °F on any event.
Do the ratings change?
No. Good, Fair and Tough are worked out the same way whatever units you read them in. Only the numbers and words change.
