How do I say I’m riding a club ride, and see who else is?
Updated
Signed in on your club’s page (or under Clubs on the dashboard), tap I’m riding under the ride. For a weekly ride, tick Every week instead. The ride goes into your Riding list with its evening-before alert, and the club sees your name and photo. The public club page only shows how many are riding, never who.
Say you’re riding
Right on your club’s page (windline.tech/c/your-club):
- Make sure you’re signed in. If you see Sign in at the top right, tap it and you’ll come straight back.
- Under the ride, tap I’m riding. It turns green: Riding.
It works the same under Clubs on the web dashboard.
Changed your mind? Tap Riding again and you’re off the list.
Weekly rides: Every week
For a ride the club runs every week, tick Every week under the next date. You’re then riding every week without tapping each one. If you can’t make one week, tap Riding on that date to drop out of just that week.
What happens when you’re riding
- Your Riding list: the ride appears in the Riding list in the iPhone app, and on any device where you’re signed in.
- Alerts: you get the evening-before alert with the rating and the reason, for the dates you’re riding. Not for every club ride.
- The club sees you: members see your name and photo on the ride (“3 riding: Thandi, Pieter +1”). Add a photo in your account.
Who can see who’s riding
| Who | What they see |
|---|---|
| Club members | Names and photos of everyone riding |
| Anyone on the club page who isn’t a signed-in member | Only the number, for example “8 riding” |
| People outside the club | Never your name or photo |
Not riding anything?
That’s fine. Joining a club doesn’t add anything to your Riding list until you say you’re riding.
Saying you’re riding works on the web dashboard now, and comes to the iPhone app in a coming update.
