How does the Windline 1000 by ProLend work?
Updated
Ride 1,000 km (621 miles) between 00:00 GMT on 16 December and 23:59 GMT on 31 December 2026, anywhere in the world. Enter at app.windline.tech/#/w1000 and connect Strava once. Windline counts every bike ride you upload, indoor and virtual too, shows your total and adds it to each ride on Strava. Free.
Enter
- Open the Windline 1000 page and sign in to Windline (or create a free account).
- Tap Enter the Windline 1000.
- If Strava isn’t connected yet, Strava asks you to allow Windline. Keep both boxes ticked: Windline reads your rides to count them, and adds your total to their descriptions.
You’ll see You’re in. That’s all. Ride and upload to Strava as usual, from Garmin, Wahoo, Zwift, Strava on your phone or anything else.
You can enter any time before the end, even halfway through. Windline counts from the start, not from when you enter: on entry it reads in every ride you’ve already done since 16 December.
What counts
- When: rides that start between 00:00 GMT on Wednesday 16 December and 23:59 GMT on Thursday 31 December 2026. The window is the same moment everywhere, so check what that is in your own time zone.
- What: every bike ride on Strava: road, gravel, mountain bike, e-bike, handcycle and velomobile, indoor and virtual rides too. Runs, walks and other sports don’t count.
- Late uploads: a ride recorded in the window still counts if you upload it by midday GMT on 3 January.
- Changes: change a ride’s type or delete it on Strava, and your total follows.
Your total
- In Windline: on the Windline 1000 page, your kilometres so far, a bar for each day and how much of the way the wind was behind you.
- On Strava: once it’s running, each counted ride’s description ends with a line like “Windline 1000 by ProLend: 640 / 1,000 km”. Only your own rides get it.
The leaderboard
Windline only ever shows you your own numbers. For the race, join the ProLend Strava club: its leaderboard is Strava’s own and resets each week, on Sunday night in the club’s time zone.
Finishing
Pass 1,000 km and you’ve finished. On 1 January 2027 your finisher card appears in Windline, ready to save and share.
Your data
Windline keeps your total and a few numbers for each counted ride: distance, climb, moving time, the day and the wind split. It never keeps routes or GPS points. The per-ride numbers are deleted on 1 April 2027, and everything goes if you delete your account. See what Windline keeps.
To stop, disconnect Strava at windline.tech/strava or in Strava under Settings → My Apps. Rides after that aren’t counted.
