How do I add routes in the iPhone app?
Updated
In the event’s editor, tap Upload GPX files to pick them from Files, or bring routes in from Ride with GPS or Strava. You can also open a GPX file from Mail, WhatsApp or Files straight in Windline and pick the event it goes into.
From the Files app
- Open the event’s editor, then tap Upload GPX files (or +, then Add GPX files).
- Pick one or more
.gpxfiles from Files, iCloud Drive or Downloads.
Each file becomes a day, in route order: each day starts where the last one finished. On a race, they go onto the next free dates in the order you add them.
Windline fills in the towns and the climbing for you, from the file or the map.
From another app
In Mail, WhatsApp, Files or Safari, tap the GPX file, then the share button, and choose Windline. Pick the event it goes into, or Set up a new event.
From Ride with GPS or Strava
Under Upload GPX files, choose Ride with GPS or Connect with Strava. Connect once, then:
- Search your routes.
- Collections add a whole tour at once, one route per day.
- Routes: tick each day’s route, then Add.
You can also paste a Ride with GPS link: a route, or a collection with every day.
For Strava, tick private routes when Strava asks, so Windline can see your routes. Until Strava approves Windline for everyone, it allows 10 people. If it’s full, use Ride with GPS or upload the GPX. See bringing routes in.
Just trying it out?
On an empty event, Try with a sample route adds one so you can see how it works.
