The wind on every ride you upload
Connect Strava once. After every ride, Windline adds what the wind did to it to the ride’s description: where it was against you, where it pushed you home, the gusts and the temperature, at the times you actually rode. Free, and no Windline account.
How it works
Tap Connect with Strava and allow Windline to read your rides and add to their descriptions. That’s the only setup.
Upload from Garmin, Wahoo, Strava on your phone or anything else. Nothing changes about how you ride or record.
Within a minute, a short summary is added at the end of your ride’s description, worked out from Apple Weather for each stretch at the minute you rode it.
Good to know
Which rides get a summary?
Outdoor rides with GPS, 5 km or longer: road, gravel, mountain bike and e-bike. Indoor and virtual rides are left alone, and so are rides only you can see.
Will it change what I wrote?
Never. The summary goes after your own words, once per ride. Edit or delete it in Strava like any other text.
What does Windline keep?
Only the connection itself. It reads the ride’s type, times and GPS points, writes the summary and keeps nothing else. Your route is never shown anywhere on Windline. See Privacy.
Miles or kilometres?
It follows the country on your Strava profile: miles, mph and °F in the United States, kilometres and °C in most other places.
How do I stop?
Disconnect here, or in Strava under Settings → My Apps. Either way Windline deletes your connection straight away.
Does it cost anything?
No. Windline is free for riders and organisers. Planning a ride? See its wind before you go.

Other data sourcesWind summaries are Windline’s own calculations from Apple Weather data, which Windline has modified.
